After initially being hesitant to book a hostel as maybe getting too old for the room sharing game, Calm Appart' hotel exceeded my expectations. The beds were private capsule style bunks, closed off with a curtain and with their own light, storage and plug sockets (regular and USB). Super comfy mattress and a proper duvet, warm and comfortable. The bathrooms were stylish and modern, divided into cubicles with a shower and sink in each, they even had soap dispensers. Nice kitchen/dining/sofa area with everything you'd need to make a quick meal. The whole hostel was clean and well organised, and the staff were friendly and helpful, even letting me practice my terrible French pronunciation. Overall, if you're a solo traveller of any age, I would absolutely recommend Calm Appart' Hotel for a safe and comfortable stay.

The beds were excellent - very private with a good quality curtain, comfortable, quiet and spacious. The beds had a power point and USB recharging. Each bed had a main light and a small spot for reading, plus shelving. Each person gets a really large locker, just bring your own lock. The dorms, bathrooms and kitchen/shared area are modern, and were thoroughly cleaned every day. The shared area had plenty of seats and tables, a kettle, toaster, stove top, microwave and refrigerator where you could label and put your food. Plus plenty of cupboard space and a TV. The location is right opposite Lille Flandres Station. So central! 24hour access with your own door code. The Wifi is good. - The staff were so nice, very friendly and helpful.

The place is very clean and well organized with all the necessary equipments : kitchen with microwave, stove, cooking utensils; washing and drying machine; toilet and bathroom are well kept. The bed is spaceous and comfortable. The security is at top level especially for the luggage storage. The staff are nice and hospitable. I arrived a bit later than their closing hour but they stayed to welcome me. The location is perfect : next to the metro station, the train and long distance bus station, near city center with a lot of choices for restaurants and near all tourist attractions.

Had two types of reading light, plenty of charging ports and a shelf for items too - Locker was provided and was nice and big. A code or padlock is provided for you. - The common area had a small kitchen and fridge - The bathroom was always clean and the showers were brilliant. The shower cubicle was also nice and spacious - The staff were very friendly and helpful - Luggage storage available - Wifi was fast

The staff was very helpful and nice and the sleeping quarters were really comfortable. Furthermore, I liked that there was where you charge your phone in the sleeping quarter and that soap and towels were provided. I also really liked that I could lock up my luggage so close to my bed! There was a kitchenette area that allowed people to easily prepare their own meals, should they have wanted to do so.
